Polio booth - An unexpected experience

Polio booth - An unexpected experience

Someone said, "Slight changes & addition of some new elements can make a terrible activity super excited." Then why not try this out with the children coming to the Polio booth with their worried faces. Let's do an experiment and see how we can change children's mind from feared state to the state of exitement. Umm.. for this, firstly we need to find some sources of attraction for them & lets go to the Polio booth now. Clildren were crying alot & some of them totally refused to take Polio drops. Whole team fell in trouble that how to manage them and experienced many difficulties to hendle those small warriors fighting against Polio drops. We devided them into different age groups & bring our weapons to the polio booth including chocolates, toys and some existing games from internet. We promised them, that thay will get the chocolate but only after taking the Polio drops, diverted them with toys and games while giving Polio drops. Many of them came like a brave boy/girl, taken the drop silently and gone. From all these activities, whole process got much exciting & fast as compare to the last year. Clildren enjoyed the whole moment in place of getting cry & worrying this time. We engaged with total number of 178 children. The biggest achievement was the internal setisfection after all this, time spent with those naughty warriors & the smile on there faces was worthless. Sometimes we just need to change the way we think or our workstyle to make the same task alot much exciting & efficient. Our story was just an example but you have your many own choices in your life. You can change the whole experience by just changing your point of view. So, Keep scouting & try to stay exited in every situation you face because you are the owner of your own thinking. - Rover Hitesh Kumar Government College Karsog Himachal Pradesh, India.
