On 6th April, the UNESCO club and scouts of Chukha Central school,Organized trash challenge and plastic ban advocacy program themed  “Unity for Positive Change”.The very objectives of conducting such program is
• To sensitize people on the alternatives means to reduce the use of plastic carry bag and doma wrappers. 
• To advocate people on the importance of waste management through trash challenge.
Over 200 people pledge,"Say No to plastic" and distributed environment friendly bags supported by Penden Cement Authority to the community and teachers of Chhukha. 
Simultaneously,we had Trash challenge and cleaned 3 area towards old high way. About 4 bolero trip of trash, 4 bags of plastic bottles were collected.
We would like to thank School Administration, Dzongkhag environment office, Penden Cement Authority, UNESCO members and scouts volunteers for the support.
Lets not burden our motherly earth!!
