Everything comes in package, starting from small candy to a large groceries item we buy. So as a small initiative taken by Bhutan scout youths,we started to ban the plastic used by the shopkeeper to rap things or cover things for the items we buy. Our work is also supported by thrompoen also and many other member of DYS. So we scouts firstly started the advocacy programe from dechencholing district, RBG headquarters till the main town. During this duration we had faced many conflicts like questioning us with hard words, not cooperating with us and many more, even though as scout we are cheerful under all difficulties we ignore them and made our programme go well.
Disadvantage of this plastic bags are they can be used till its not broken after that it's a waste so it pollutes the area. Other choice or other way to use incase of plastic is our home made bags, clothe bags and fabric bags which can be used for a long duration and it can resist weights. There for our programme went well for which was for almost more than a week. #scot_for_SDG, #scout_for_happiness
