Hass avocado is a cultivar of avocado with dark green-coloured, bumpy skin and their seedlings take an average of 3 to 5 years to mature.  The project involved procurement of a hundred certified Hass avocado seedlings from Kakuzi PLC in Makuyu and planting them at the family local farm in Meru.The main three key focus areas included: ensuring reliable access to a sufficient quantity of affordable and nutritious food, ensuring decent and sustainable source of income in the future and protecting and cconservation of terrestial space.
