Celebration of World Environment Day-202

World Environment Day-2021 with a theme of  Ecosystem Restoration was observed at ICDS Centre, Lower Ghurpisey, Namchi, South Sikkim under the Leadership of Mrs. Yasodha Sharma, MLHP, District Hospital, Namchi, Govt. of Sikkim after our discussion and selection of the venue. In which I was accompained with her (Wife) to observe the day a a Scout Leader. The World Environment was observed in a formal manner in which the ASHA of Ghurpisey Area Welcome the Gathering and MLHP Madam Highlighted the importance of the Day with a particular Theme during this hour of CRisis og COVID-19 Pandemic. The Programme was also witnessed by the Village Health Sanitation & Nutrition Comittee, AWW, AWCH and other locaal gentries.  After some formal programme in the Centre, we all come outside the building to observe the Day in Practical. We all clean the premises by cutting the grass and uprooting the weeds as the ICDS Centre was closed since Months due to Lockdown. After Cleaning the Area we have Planted many Flowers Like Ageliya, Bagan Beliya, Scenary Garden Plants and some Fruits Plants and cuttings. The Day went well with Restoration of the Environment wchich was the main theme of this year as well. The AWW proposed the Vote of Thanks and the Day Programme was ended with Group Photographs of some of the participants.
