PLANTATION Drive AT BHUGTRIAN
Protection of environment is not only our duty but also moral responsibility. Bharat Scouts and Guides,district Udhampur, has prepared to overcome this crisis. This monsoon is resolved to achieve the goal of planting two thousand trees and preserving them. In order to realize this goal, Scout Master Ved Kumar, Amar Dev Singh and Rakesh Sharma at the Bhugtariyan village, 30 km from the district headquarters, under the guidance of Sarpanch Parikshit Singh, Nab Sarpanch Sanjay Singh, Prakash Chand, Bablu Ram, Sheru Ram etc. Plantation program was carried out at places like Temple, Primary Health Center,Government High School,Bhugtrian etc. Medical Officers like Dr. Amit Rathore, Dr. Madhu Gupta, Rajendra Kumar etc. also made invaluable contribution in plantation at Primary Health Center.
Scout Master Ved Kumar told that we have mainly planted medicinal plants. Trees are very useful for our life. There are many such plants, which are used in many diseases. Among them are Bedha, Amla, Arjun, Ashoka etc., which is very beneficial in our life in many ways. Scout Master Rakesh Sharma got the plantation done in a unique way. All the villagers and prominent members of village adopted saplings in proportion and planted a pledge, taking a pledge to conserve the environment. Scout Master Amardev Singh said that tree plants are precious jewels of this earth. Human life progresses only through them. Life is not possible in the absence of them. Everyone must plant trees and also protect them.
Sarpanch Parikshit Singh praised the public welfare work being done by Bharat Scouts and Guides Team at the end of the program and promised further cooperation in future. Head Teachers of High School Ravi Lal and Surinder Pal also attended the program.
