To fulfill one's duty as a stewardess of Mother Earth, five Senior Scouts and 35 Rover Scouts planted 120 tree seedlings along a roadside at Barangay Magsaysay Norte, Cabanatuan City. The scouts planted 60 trees on each side of the road which consists of six types: Katuray (Sesbania grandiflora), Calamansi (Citrofortunella microcarpa), Almond (Prunus dulcis), Tamarind (Tamarindus indica), Guava (Psidium guajava), and Key lime (Citrus × aurantiifolia). After planting trees, they also picked up pieces of trash, mainly plastics, that were scattered in the area. The scouts plan to monitor the growth of the trees and to also keep the location clean and garbage-free.
