Pit digging
Aim:
To render selfless service to society and help them where necessary.
To inculcate the value, the dignity of labour to people.
To maintain clean sanitation.
To create awareness on sanitation.
Keeping those values in mind, Nachung scouts of Chapcha PS organized pit digging in Remtakha Lhakhang under Chapcha Gewog which is one of the significant programmes on 2nd May, 2017 for the benefit of the society. The work was supposed to be completed on 8/4’17 but had to postpone on 29/4/17 due to heavy rain on the said date.
Unlike the previous days, it was a fine day with clear weather whereby students were gathered in the assembly ground for instructions before they left for the task. After leader briefed for the said task, we then decently marched together towards our destination to accomplish the activity.
Upon reaching the site, we rested for a while and reminded for the dos and don’ts. Members were divided into groups and made to work in turns. Refreshments were also served in-between to energize and gain their motivation. To fulfill our aims and objectives it took not more than two hours which started exactly at 1 pm till 3 pm to dig two pits. After completing the task, members were once again served with tea and snacks. Roll call was made once again at the end, and every one left home with smile face and much satisfaction in their mind. They were overjoyed with their service rendered towards the community. Finally, leader thanked all for their helping hand and directed to move home along with their friends.
