Bethlehem Peace Light -

Troop 381 in Hicksville NY made the "Flame of the Nativity" available fo rdelivery to Chapels, Parishes, Schools, Hospitals and Homes.

From December 2018  through January 2019 and the Troop  was in the large hospitality / gathering area of the Church after Masses telling  the story of the Bethlehem Peace Light to all the visitors.

                                                                                                                                                                                                             
BE A LIGHT FOR PEACE IN THE WORLD
The Holy Family Scout Troop joined with the World Scouts in the Messenger of Peace program.
Since 9/11, Scouts have had a greater commitment to deliver the Peace Light during the Christmas Season. The flame you receive at Holy Family comes from Bethlehem. It arrives at JFK airport from Austria then to our church thanks to the Boy Scouts.
Please share this beautiful gesture of peace with all your friends and family this Holiday Season.

Once you receive this light, bring it home and pass it on to your family, friends and neighbors to help lessen the darkness in the world!
To participate, bring your candle or lantern to Holy Family Church for the Distribution Ceremony Sunday, December 9th.
