Pack Give Back

A Scout is Kind... Tis the season for gratitude, service and giving back. In the spirit of the Scout Law, November is the perfect time to spread kindness. Our goal was to encourage a 'blitz" of good turns, big and small, that inspired others to pay it forward.
Scouts were encouraged to participate at the family, den, pack and community level. This could be a small service project, helping a neighbor, thanking a teacher, doing extra chores, or participating in pack-wide community service initiatives. We also created eye-catching Good Turn trackers, bingo cards and photo frames to enhance the experience and keep Scouts engaged.
The Pack Give Back was shared across our local Scout family, our chartered organization, and national scouting groups. We received overwhelming feedback from across the country, requesting Pack Give Back materials to participate in their area. The impact is immeasurable. The request was so great that we created Troop-friendly versions, called Troop good Turns, to share across the network. Our families participated in countless individual, den, and pack service projects.
This project is simple in execution, but has great impact. All families can participate, regardless of age or income, and multiple SDG's can be included. We will definitely repeat this project at least annually.
