Pack 296 Gives Christmas Cheer to the Elderly

Pack 296 Gives Christmas Cheer to the Elderly

After visiting this retirement center last year with a Tiger Den, I was very touched at how much it meant to the residents to spend some time with the Cub Scouts.  We decided this year that the pack would go back and put on a Christmas program for them.  We sang several Christmas carols, peformed some classic Cub Scout skits, and presented the residents with Christmas cards that the boys had made.  After the event, I was approached by several of the residents who thanked me and said it brought back wonderful memories of when they were in scouts or a Den Mother or worked at a camp.  I think all the boys left the event feeling very good about what they had done.  We hope to make this an annual event for the pack.
