The team consists of 90 rover scouts who are university students and secondary school students from various educational backgrounds. Based on our expertise and knowledge, we believe the project initiated by our effort will give awareness and impact to a community and world. Our project is Organic Garden in which using organic material to build a garden that can produce healthy food.

Organic gardening is essentially gardening without using synthetic products like chemical fertilizers and pesticides. It involves the use of only natural products to grow plants in your garden. Organic gardening replenishes natural resources as it uses them. Some beds in the garden are raised because they have fresh compost that has yet to be mixed in with the soil. Red peppers (Capsicum annum), Pandan (Pandanus amaryllifolius), spinach(Spinacia oleracea), Pak choi(Brassica rapa), Galangal (Alpinia Galanga) and Lemongrass (Cymbopogon schoenanthus) are among the different vegetables that are commonly grown in the organic garden.

This project and all five(5) aims will be conducted during Expedition of Kembara Bumi Langkawi which is starting from July 1st until July 5th. The project will be take place in Sk Kelibang, Langkawi on July 4th. The first aim is Healthy Land and Healthy Air. Secondly, plant exploration which the participants will collect the plant found. Thirdly, road clean up where the participant will collect the debris along the road during the expedition. Fourtly, Let’s Go Organic Talk where the participant can gain knowledge about organic gardening. Last but not least, there will be “Better Tomorrow” activity that can notify the participant about natural disaster.

This project can spread knowledge of the importance of the organic garden to the community. These project can also help educate the public about how much pollution and wastes there are in the environment in which people are currently living in. Gardening also can produce more oxygen  into the air and help reduce air pollution.
