Observed International Day of Peace.
The 2022 theme for the International Day of Peace is “End racism. Build peace.” Everyone is invited to join the efforts of Balam Primary School as we work towards a community free of racism and racial discrimination. A world where compassion and empathy overcome suspicion and hatred. A world that we can truly be proud of.
-The participants gathered in the assembly ground
-The minute of silence were observed
-Sang scout anthem
-The commissioner gave a peace talk
-Took a photo showing commitment & pledges
-The participants walked from school to Mantshang (3 km)
-Carried the banner & Pledges during the peace parade
-Picked up the waste by road side & created awareness
-Served with lunch & refreshment
-Read together irrespective of their learning abilities
-The day ended by a group photo & returning to the school
160 students and 12 staff participated in the peace parade. All the participants made commitment to oneself and others about the peace.
