National Vitamin A Plus Campaign
My motivation to participate in the National Vitamin A Plus Campaign stemmed from a deep personal commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being. As a Rover Scout, I believe that health is the foundation of human potential, and ensuring access to basic nutrition is one of the most direct ways to empower future generations. This campaign allowed me to contribute meaningfully by supporting preventive healthcare at the grassroots level.
During the campaign, I served as a volunteer at the TSC (Teacher-Student Center), University of Dhaka, where I was responsible for assisting in the distribution of vitamin A capsules to children. Over the course of two days, we successfully administered vitamin A capsules to more than 850 children. Beyond distribution, I also engaged with parents—sharing important health information to ensure that no child is left behind due to a lack of awareness.
Participating in the National Vitamin A Plus Campaign was a transformative learning experience that broadened my perspective on public health and community engagement. Through this initiative, I developed critical skills in team coordination, time management, and effective interpersonal communication. Working at a high-traffic vaccination center like the TSC, University of Dhaka, taught me how to remain organized, responsive, and compassionate under pressure.
