The Nation Earthquake Mock Drill Day
In our Country Bhutan during 2009 we experienced huge earthquake of magnitude 6.2 which lasted about 92second. Considering the dreadful event occured in our country, we did the mock drill and marked the day of National Earthquake Mock drill Day.
We celebrated the day at Nagor MSS, Mongar Bhutan. We firstly briefed about the three important steps. The duck, cover hold. And we then went for our mock drill. We also explained the youths about, how the earthquake occurs. We also told them why we most do each steps.
The youths were able to practically know what to do if Incase an earthquake occurs. They were also given practice and habit of surviving earthquake by using the duck cover and hold process.
I was able to learn why we need to do mock drill at the first place. I was also able to know how the earthquake occurs and the reason why it is always best under the table. I was also able to know that earthquake is a serious issue in the country. So using the knowledge I can practice the measures of increasing probability of surving.
