MyVAC: Malaysia Vaccine Support Volunteers

Volunteers meet up at Dewan Muafakat Johor, Taman Adda, Johor at 8am to start their service as volunteers. Volunteers are briefed on the workflow and stations that will need help. There are 17 volunteers in total mobilised to man all stations. I started my work at the first station which is to ensure everyone is sanitised, temperature scanned and MySejahtera scanned. It was manned by three volunteers, whereby the rest are manning other stations. After an hour being at that station I was mobilised to the second station which is to assist the nurses in preparing the vaccinee's MySejahtera for registration. Names were called by their Identification Card to facilitate in sequencing. After four hours being there, another volunteer took over my spot and I moved to the third station which is to assist vaccinee in filling up their consent form and to collect it. It was a great experience there because I get to socialise with many people while helping them in filling the form. Our work as volunteers finishes after the last vaccinee is vaccinated. After that is done, the hall is cleaned and sanitised. We finished our first day as MyVAC volunteers at 6.30pm.
