My first scout camping in SISFEC, UPM

My first scout camping in SISFEC, UPM

We took a move in the morning to reach SISFEC and had a briefing on the event that shall be conducted for the day. After we set our tents, we had a scout group division and also introduction on the activities will be held. That night, we had our scout introduction in MOP and WSEP before we had our vigil. It was pretty scary since most of the time, we had to be blind folded and walk about in the forest before we reach our destination. After our secretive vigil, we then were reminded of our gadget and stayed up the whole night to make five of them, like the bin and the shoe holders.

The next morning, we learn how to march with and without the staff. We also learn that a staff is extremely handy especially during orienteering as it helps us to navigate and measure the length of the rivers and trees and many more. After the long morning, before we had our lunch, we had to make a tower and a seesaw before lunch was serve. After lunch, we had a tutorial in making a trap and a resting hut before we start our tea cooking session which is the survival cooking. It was funny when we had heard a pop sound as some group made an egg cook in a potato. That evening, we learning our ropes. It was fun since the seniors were there to help us in gaining the knowledge. At night, we had our scout campfire before we call it a day. We had a delighted BBQ and sang along as we had fun enjoying one another company.

The next day, we had a hike to the blue lagoon, a famous place at the SISFEC, before we head back to clean the campsite and had the closing ceremony. At the end of the day, it was an experience that bonded the junior and senior as we said our last goodbye to SISFEC and made our move to UPM.
