Mock Drill and Disaster Preparedness Program

Mock Drill and Disaster Preparedness Program

Disaster preparedness refers to measures taken to prepare for and reduce the effects of disasters. That is, to predict and, where possible, prevent disasters, mitigate their impact on vulnerable populations, and respond to and effectively cope with their consequences.

On 28/06/2019, We the members of the Master Da Surja Sen Rover Crew of The Bharat Scouts and Guides / N.F.Rly / Alipurduar Division took an active part in Mock Drill , Disaster Preparedness with other Scouts, Guides, Rovers and Rangers at New Coochbehar Railway Station(NCB). We were a total of 26 members. Unit Leaders Shri Tuhin Majumder (Adv. RSL) and Shri Utpal Roy (PRE-ALT Cub Master) also participated in this Mock Drill. The Branch officers of Alipurduar Division and NDRF were also present at that time.

We learnt a lot of techniques of how to save a casualty in case of derailment. Our heartiest Thanks to N.F.Rly for organizing such an informative Mock Drill on Disaster Preparedness.
