A mock drill was conducted by Safety branch of the East  Central Railway (ECR) at the wagon depot here in association with the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), 11.11.16 on Friday. 
Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Additional DRM of Dhanbad NDRF 9th battalion Commandant ,Senior Divisional Safety Officer and other branch officers witnessed the drill. The Railway teams along with NDRF personnel participated in rescue and relief operations jointly along with the Scouts & Guides and medical team of the Railways. NDRF and Railway personnel showcased the manner of rescuing people from derailed coaches.
On the occasion stated that such mock drills were helpful for both the Railways and NDRF teams to overcome the shortcomings and also instil in them the confidence required during such rescue and relief operations.
They would also learn the techniques involved.
