People who have mitochondrial disease can’t produce enough energy to walk, talk, see and breathe, things that you and I take for granted! Every 30 minutes a child is born who will develop mitochondrial disease before their teenage years. Active adults see their lives spiral down towards debilitation. Both children and adults battling mitochondrial disease all know one thing – it can take years to get an accurate diagnosis. Power up and walk for those who can’t.
