Messenger of Peace

 

We the Scouts of Wangdue PS  observed the International Peace of Day with the following objectives and activities;

 

 

1. Venue:  Wangdue Pry. School

2. Participants:  Whole school approach

  1.   Teachers: 43
  2. Scouts: 93
  3. Non Scouts: 780

3. Objectives:

  1.  To create awareness on international peace day
  2. To educate our youth about peace.
  3. Create and share the messages on peace.
  4. To generate a way to achieve the goals of GNH through peace messages.

3. How to carry out:

  1. At 8:25am to 8:30am- speech on the importance of the day in the assembly. 
  2.  From 9:00 am to 9:30am the school will celebrate the day in the class coordinated by the concerned subject teachers by ringing a peace bell and observing a minute of silence.
  3. Exactly At 12:00 noon we will ring another (second peace bell) peace bell and observe a minute of silence.
  4. Displaying banners at in our school campus.
  5. Scout members from class v and VI will display their messenger of Peace (building block B2) and invite all the teachers and students to join us and share message of peace.
  6. The first top three selected poster will be awarded certificates and prizes.
  7. End the program with photo session.
