Medical Service - A Gift

Being healthy is very important. In my community we have a Basic Health Unit which provides basic health related services. For major health issues, people have to visit hospitals located far away from the community. Keeping in mind the hardships people face to visit hospital, His Majesty the king has gifted us medical service through which Medical Specialists are sent to look after the wellbeing of every people. I was fortunate to assist the team and serve our community.
The medical service was provided mostly to the remote places where people could not afford to travel to hospitals. Gomdar gewog under Samdrupjongkhar was also very fortunate enough to receive the medical service as a gift directly from His Majesty the King. I assisted the team in registering and keeping details of the patients and providing crowd control service.
More than 430 people of the community benefited from the project. Through the project many people received the best treatment from Medical Specialists. Various illness of our people were cured and some were even referred for further treatment. People were very happy to receive such project in their very own locality.
As a whole I learnt to value the health services provided by our government. It made my day looking at people who came to receive the medical service leaving with a broad smile on their face.
