The 1st Gawler Scout Group assisted McDonalds raise money for its annual Mchappy day event which raises much needed funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities. 

As the largest fundraiser for RMHC Australia nationally, McHappy Day is crucial in raising funds for the charity, which helps keep families together while their seriously ill child undergoes treatment. Since it first started in 1991, McHappy Day has raised more than $42 million for RMHC and over $4 million in 2017.

This is the 12th year that Scouts have been invited to participate at their local McDonalds restaurant, and collect donations on behalf of the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC Australia). Last year over $4million was raised for the charities.
