74th Independence Day celebrated by Batanagar Scouts and Guides association by National Flag hoisting followed by mask and leaflet distribution. Major Subedar of ex army Mr. Gauri Shankar Chakraborty, Vice President and councillor Mrs. Aloka Maity, Development Officer of LIC of India Mr. Pankaj Ganguly, Headmaster of Batanagar Primary school Mr. Indrajit Dey, Social worker Manoj Bose, Dance director Mr Pushpak Mukharjee, Karate instructor Sanu Dey, Gymnast instructor Mr Gautam Das, District Secretary of 24 parganas Mr Hrishikesh Bhattacharyya, District Training Commissioner Mr Amalesh Ghosh Chowdhury, ADC Mr Pradeep Dev, Cub Master Mr Aniruddha Bhattacharya and Sushanta Naskar, Rover leader Debashish Santra and Ratan Das, Scout Master Souvik Pal was present in the ceremony. Mask and leaflet were distributed at various marketplace and slum areas of Maheshtala under the leadership of Mr Bibek Dey. Scouts of Batanagar High school rallied across Maheshtala on their bicycle to spread awareness regarding dengue and coronavirus. They also distributed masks and leaflets as a part of the awareness program.
