market clean up and tree planting
Gift a pad is all about menstrual health and good sanitisation, but hey, that doesn’t stop us from giving back to the society in different ways.
Our aims on Collaborating with the Green scout initiative were to target a large population for us to educate on menstrual dignity and also join hands to create a serene environment to the people within the given area by planting trees and doing a clean up.This was quite effective where 140 individuals benefited.
The project took place in kiambu at wangige market where we conducted a mass talk and delivered 140 seedlings to the people within the area
Approximately 140 individuals benefited from this project. At the end of the day, they all learned on menstrual hygiene and dignity, the benefits of having a clean environment and importance of taking care of trees
Many people across the globe still don’t understand much on menstruation. I learnt that individuals are always ready to listen and take home something new and people no longer dwell on period shame and stigmatisation ,or atleast not many people do.
