Making and maintaining flower garden in school premises

From March 22nd, 2019 to April 26th, 2019, Nachung Scouts of Kurchilo Primary School, Wamrong, Trashigang, Bhutan developed new flower garden in the school premises every friday during Scouting day. The main objectives of the project was to:

  1. Enhance greener school surrounding
  2. Build solidarity (Team Spirit) among Nachung Scouts
  3. Develop cooperation amongst Nachung Scouts
  4. Acquire skills in developing and maintaining gardens by Nachung Scouts
  5. Know the advantages of maintaining flower gardens in the place we live by Nachung Scouts

There were 29 Nachung Scouts in total helping develop the garden. We divided in to four groups; firtile soil collecter's group, water collecter's group, flowers collector's group, and garden bed maker's group. All the Nachung Scouts actively participated for the project and completed with good result. It was a great experience for Nachung Scouts and for me as well. I could see the excitement and enthusiasm in their face.
