On the request of Local Administration, a Mahashivratri Mela Service Camp was organized at NTC, Pachmarhi from 8th to 18th February, 2015 with 22 participants from Central Railway, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh State. Shri M. S. Qureshi, Joint Director (NTC) was the overall incharge. Shri Ashok Kumar Mohapatra, ROC (S)/ Estate Manager was Leader of the Camp and Shri Rajendra Singh Thakur, WQM did the Quarter Master Job. The purpose of this service camp was providing Rescue Force to Pilgrims of Mahashivratri Mela. As the route was full of mountain, Rovers to rendered their services under the guidance of Mr. Surendra, an Expert from Pune who deals in Rescue by Rock Climbing and deal with causality in a very systematic manner. First two days Rovers have practiced various types of rock climbing and rappelling, from 14th Feb, base camp was shifted to Mahadeo and on 17th Feb, Rovers rendered their service round the clock. Rovers have also helped HAM Station. The service camp came to close 18th February, 2015.
