Low-Cost Homemade Water Filtration System

To promote awareness about clean and safe drinking water To demonstrate a simple and affordable water filtration method To encourage reuse of plastic materials for environmental sustainability

water filtration system using easily available materials such as plastic bottles, gravel, sand, charcoal, and cotton. The system helps remove visible impurities from contaminated water and increases awareness about safe drinking water. This project is suitable for rural and disaster-prone areas where access to clean water is limited.

Through this project, I learned the importance of clean and safe drinking water for maintaining good health. I gained practical knowledge about simple water filtration techniques using low-cost and locally available materials. The project helped me understand how small initiatives can contribute to Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDG 6. I also developed teamwork, planning, and problem-solving skills while implementing the project.
