LIGHT OF LOVE: Typhoon Victims Relief Operation .
We see the resiliency of the Bicolanos after hitting by a series of strong typhoons namely Ofel, Pepito, Quinta, Rolly and Tonyo. Most of the Bicol Region devastated by those typhoons, some were homeless and hopeless. We extend our help for them, not just because we are scouts but what's most important is we help other people in need. That is why we formulate the Project - LIGHT BEYOND BORDER: A relief Operation for Camarines Sur Typhoon Victims.
The project would not be materialized without the help of so many generous people of Guinayangan, Quezon and the entire Quezon Province. It became so easy for us to seek donations from them. Our good Samaritans of today's generation. From the scouts, scout leaders, government officials and ordinary people. They gave used cloths, can goods and even money (we used to buy goods and other needed materials) to be distributed to the victims.
What we did were highly emulated by everyone and helped a little for the economy where we bought everything we need. Doing good things to help others makes our heart flutters. Upon posting in social media, many people contacted us expressing their willingness to share and become a part of the project. They become more inspired helping others.
"In times of natural calamities like typhoons, we need to help each other in our simple way. We can do big things if we share what we have to others to change their lives", said Eagle Scout John Ryan P. Ilao, Senior Crew Leader of Outfit 869 of Guinayangan National High School.
