LIBERIAN SCOUT TO BEGIN EBOLA AWARENESS Monrovia-The Liberia Scout Association as part of the ongoing Ebola fight is about to launch a nation-wide Ebola prevention and eradication project. The project is been supported by the General Scouts Association of China and the Government of the People’s Republic of China. The grant is being provided by the Government of China through the Scouts of China (TAIWAN) / The General Scouts Association of China, for implementation of project Activities that is geared toward mobilization of Scouts and Scout leaders for massive community awareness on prevention and eradication of the Ebola Disease Virus from Liberia. The grant is in the sum of ten thousand Five Hundred United States Dollars ($10,500.00), for activities implementation in all of the fifteen counties of Liberia. The project is for the period of three months beginning January 2015 to March, 2015 The grant was made possible through the Effort of Mr. Lin, Junq-Tzer - Chairman & Chief Commissioner, Mr. Chang, Wen-Shing - International Director of the Scouts of China (TAIWAN) / The General Scouts Association of China and Mr. Frederic T. Kama-Kama, Regional Director- Africa Region - World Scout Bureau as well as members and officials of the Scouts of China (TAIWAN) / the General Scouts Association of China. The Liberia Scout Association is therefore calling on all Scout Organizations, NGO, Companies, the Government and the International Community to join forces and support the Liberia Scout Association in mobilizing Scouts and Scout leaders to fight against the deadly Ebola Virus. “In this open manner, we want to call on the general public to abide by all the preventive measures and listen to health authorities to ensure that the virus is eradicated from our country so that we can once more return to normality,” International Commissioner Liberia Scout Association Sinayou Roberts said.
