Kaurna Cub Pack - Flagstaff Hill Scout Group and ANZAC Day

Kaurna Cub Pack - Flagstaff Hill Scout Group and ANZAC Day

Australians recognizes the 25th April as an occasion of national remembrance. The Flagstaff Hill Scout Group organizes and coordinates the local ANZAC Day Dawn Service at the Flagstaff Hill Monument. The Scout Group has been involved in the local Dawn Service for many years, this is the second year the Kaurna Cub Pack has been involved in the way stated below. The Kaurna Cub Pack made wreaths from cardboard and gum leaves on the last night of term one. The Cub Pack then laid these wreaths during the Dawn Service, walking up to the Monument to lay the wreaths together. Following the Dawn Service we received positive feedback from many members of the community, parents and other Leaders within the Flagstaff Hill Scout Group. This activity exemplifies the Kaurna Cub Pack's commitment to service, remembrance and community involvement. Kathryn Affleck Cub Scout Leader Kaurna Cub Pack Flagstaff Hill Scout Group
