Kandy Esala Perahara is one of the most fascinating and biggest festivals in Sri Lanka. Every year, Kandy District scouts engage in first aid service for the artists in perahara and the public who come to see the perahara. In this year with the outbreak of covid-19, public were not allowed to watch the perahara and it was held from 25th July to 4th August with strictly adhering to the health and safety measures according to the guidelines of the Ministry of Health. So in this year, only rover scouts and scout leaders of Kandy District engaged in first aid service for the artists in perahara.
