I am Suryasarathi Kumar from INDIA. UN Environment has conducted a Africa Tide Turners Youth Summit together with World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, World Organization of the Scout Movement, and Junior Achievement on 16th of October at 2pm-5pm EAT ( 4.30 pm IST) to celebrate the Tide Turners Champions and to present the successful work that has taken place in Africa. Through the “Tide Turners Plastic Challenge Badge” UNEP, together with partners is working to educate young people on the topic on marine plastic pollution. The young people who make it to the champion level of the program will have gained a thorough understanding of marine plastic pollution and how to address it, and are well equipped to become leaders in their communities. I took part in this webinar as a selected candidate.
