John's Eagle Project MCWC

We had a drive for the Montgomery County Women's Center, which is primarily for women who have been sexually abused. They also provide care for men and children, and I had decided that this organization would be a marvelous organization to help for my Eagle Scout Project. After asking the M.C.W.C. representative on what they were in desperate need of I had a friend make a flyer to put in door handles so that the participants could put them in door handles of areas that I had chosen. The M.C.W.C. was in need of teething gel, baby powder, diaper rash creme, baby wipes, diapers, pull-ups, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, women's deodorant, Pamprin and Midol, twin size mattress covers, zipper pillow case protectors, gently used clothing, gently used books, colored pencils, composition books, sketch pads, and non-violent PlayStation 2 games. After putting the flyers in the door handles I had waited for 1 week and then my group and I had collected all the goods that were left out for us to collect. After all the goods were collected my family and I had organized the goods into separate categories, and then we had packed them into boxes and bags.We had a total of 50 bags of clothes, 20 boxes of goods and one stroller Then the following weekend the M.C.W.C had their truck come to my house and pickup the goods we had collected.
