Jagara Jatra

With strong scientific background we, the Indians observe many festivals and 'service' is always there in the background. One of such occasions is "Jagara Jatra" dedicated to Lord Shiva. Keeping in view to the large gathering of crowd, like all other years Odisha State Bharat Scouts & Guides conducted a service camp in the famous Lingaraj Temple.  

110 Numbers of Rovers were called for the service Camp. They reported on the 28th of February and cleaned the premises. The next day morning the service team was being led to  Lingaraj Temple. They were divided into 05 subgroups and they are allotted different duties as distribution of water, water sprinkling, carrying the sick persons and keeping discipline etc. The next day the team was engaged in cleaning the surrounding 

The sincere service by the Scouts was highly appreciated by one and all. It has a great impact on the public. The service camp was really the need of the moment. 

following all these reasons it is being learned that this type of service camp should always be conducted.
