Introduction on scouting on Bussi Island

We did a survey and learnt that there was no scouting program on Bussi Island . This is hard to reach area nad there are few boats that sail to this island. We also noticed that the schools and communities on this island didnt know about scouting . Communities also suffered from Malaria because they are surrounded by water. Our goal was to introduce scouting on this isolated island, sensitise communities and distribute Mosquito nets to households.
We recruited and trained scout leaders into scouting We also did a community service to sensitise communities about the dangers of malaria and how to prevent malaria. We distribute ITN nets to house holds with children below 5 years and expectant mothers because they are at most risk of contracting Malaria
-Communities are more welcoming and love scouting. -There is need for more training on health. -More recruitment of scouts is needed because there are many schools.
