In celebration of the 70th Anniversary of China and the 20th Anniversary of Macau, the Scout Association of Macau hold a Campfire competition on the International Day of Peace. Under the theme of “Establishment of Macau SAR”, participating teams designed their performance in order to cherish the harmonious community that we live in, and to remind ourselves to contribute to the society by Scouting activities and peaceful actions.

Games, songs and skits about Macau culture and history is performed, helping scouts to know more about the heritage of our city. As participating teams designed and researched for the performance, they know more about our homeland, bringing themselves closer to the community, and thus become a more active citizen.

Aside from the competition, there is also a dedicated MoP session. Hosted by the MoP Coordinator, this session introduces the Better World Framework and several WOSM programmes, including Messengers of Peace, Scout of the World Award, World Scout Environment Programme, etc. Many of the participants are not aware of the programme prior to this event. After knowing about these programme, Scouts can use these programmes as guidelines to do more service projects to our community. Being in a campfire event, the session is concluded by a joyous MoP Dance.
