International day of Peace was celebrated in our school. The event was very important and we the scout members got a privilege to conduct the programme. The program was started with flag hosting ceremony by scouts. Subsequently, Welcome speech was delivered by the scout leader Mr. Tashi Pelden A. Mr. Sonam Jamstho (Teacher) shared why and when international day of peace is celebrated and talk about the peace. Mr. Sangay Wangchuk(Teacher) gave a talk on the Theme “Climate Action for Peace”. He also shared on the following topics that effect Climate; 1) Burning of Waste. 2) using Plastics. He shared measures on how to solve climate action by 3R’s that is Recycle, Reuse and Reduce.   The scout also conducted mock drill on earthquake for safety and precaution. Followed by this, there was a talk on demonstration on No Breathing and Bleeding by Jambay Zangmo (HA). Later the students and staff of this school has conducted cleaning campaign to observe the international peace day by designing the banner with slogans and posters. In subsequent to this, the students from sherubtse college presented on waste management, sexual hygiene and reading to mark the international peace day. The programme ended successfully with the vote of thanks by Mr. Zung Dorji, principal of this school.
