Our Joey Scouts decorated terracotta pots and gift boxes in preparation for a visit to the local nursing home. The following week, they visited and entertained the residents with singing of scouting and Christmas songs, gave out their gifts and then spent time talking to the residents while they coloured in Christmas pictures with them. They enjoyed spending time with thie elderly resident and the residents certainly seemed to like having them come.
