Insect Repellent Movement
In my home country, Bangladesh diseases caused by mosquitoes such as Dengue Fever, Malaria etc. are very common, though they are not less dangerous than any other part of the world. I wanted to do something about this. So with the help of my scout leader and the local government we organized this movement. This movement was mainly organized to create public awareness on the demerits of mosquitoes.
In our movement we went to some rural areas of our locality and told the public about how we can fight against mosquitoes. We also told them the remedies of some common diseases. Our local government played a big role in this movement.
We believe a number of people were helped because of our movement. Many people were unaware of the fact that mosquitoes pose a big threat to our society, specially to the children. We believe that the people learned at the very least one thing from our movement and i am proud of it.
In the process of making public awareness I learned that some things or knowledge that is very common to us might not be available to everybody everywhere.
