Inks Lake Zebra Mussel Detection
Zebra mussels are a huge problem in my local lakes, and I wanted to help keep my lakes safe.
I worked with homeowners on Inks Lake to get my zebra mussel detectors into the water. Myself and a group of scouts built and installed the detectors.
My zebra mussel detectors successfully found early stages of zebra mussel invasion and gave my local utility service time to fight against them before the overrun the lake.
I learned that logistics and a calendar for scheduling are very important, especially when paired with a flexible schedule.
