Importance of forest

Majority of the people around the world haven't realised yet that we directly depend on the forest for our survival. We must create the place where we live and it should go on for the generations to come. Trees and plants gives us air to breathe, wood to use and protect us from harsh weathers. It also help from soil erosion, provide home for diverse animal species and mitigate climate change.

So in order to sensitize the community and the people residing nearby the schools, the schools in chhukha dzongkhag planted about 20 different plants from 2nd June till 5th June. This is one environmental related activities carried out in the dzongkhag.
