I'M NOT TOO YOUNG FOR ARTHRITIS
I live with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) so as World yOung Rheumatic Diseases Day (WORD Day) is coming up on the 18th of March, I wanted to educate the Beavers I am a young leader with about my disease and about invisible disabilities.
I created the plan for the night, my leader in charge approved it, so i got the resources ready.
All the beavers got their disability awareness badge and came up with lots of ideas about how the world could be improved to be more accessible to disabled people. They learned that young people get arthritis too.
We had ten minutes left at the end so i would come up with a longer programme next time.
