IDP 2022- PEACE PLANTATION.
On the occasion of the International Day of Peace,2022 the young cubs and bulbuls along with the active participation of few scouts and guides of the St.Augustine's Day School Barrackpore decided to plant a few tree saplings in their school premises. They were highly motivated by their teachers and parents as well as their surroundings to take up such an initiative.
Firstly they meet at their school premises under the able leadership of their cub master Mr. Sanjoy Ghosh who coordinated the entire program starting from arranging the plant saplings to locating a suitable position to dig the plants. The scouts and guides then went onto field to dig holes, plant the trees and finish their responsibility towards a better environment.
Such planting of trees would not only increase the greenery all around their environment but would also add some fresh air as well as make the surroundings filled with flora and fauna.
They learnt an important lesson that when you do something for the planet earth, the immense amount of satisfaction and happiness that they got was beyond their expectations. Not only did they plant the saplings but also promised to water them every single day in the times to come.
