Hygiene For All

Back in my at primary school days, there was this day my elder sister came back home crying due to the fact she was being mocked at for she had menstrauted on herselfand blood stains upon her skirt like the moudy clouds in the sky. As such seeing this stigma it caused to her for she didn't get back to school after 4 days fear of being laughed at, I took up the challenge to learn more about this female condition and eradicate such mentality in the minds of youths.
We executed our project in dschang west region Cameroon our targets being young girls between the ages of 14-30. Impacting them with the knowledge of female hygiene and building in them female leaders for the world of tomorrow. We carried out the projects in secondary and tertiary institutions. We carried out seminars, wrkshops , debates and exchange visits within hospital milieu mostly especially with gynecologist/obstreticians to edify us on the health/clinical aspect of the woman.
A total of 255 people benefited from the project where 187 where edified on the aspect of female hygiene and the remaining 68 where formed in the space of one year. This statistics are those of 2021. We aim on leaving Cameroon anmd impacting other nations.
-Poor menstrual hygiene can pose physical health risks and has been linked to reproductive and urinary tract infections. -10 years or about 3,500 days of the average woman's life that will be spent menstruating. Offering free and accessible period products can help people who menstruate save upwards. -In the case of pads, it is recommended to be changing these out every 4-8 hours. We can change thigs by creating more awareness to more females(girls) so as to create live impact.
