Hong Kong Island Region Training Team - Messengers of Peace Induction

Hong Kong Island Region Training Team - Messengers of Peace Induction

In order to share the "Messengers of Peace" messages to the scouts and leaders, we had a Messengers of Peace Induction to the Training Team members of Hong Kong Island Region, Scout Association of Hong Kong, on 28 March 2015. We joined together in the Annual Camp of the Training Team at the Junk Bay Youth Camp, where it was exactly the 1st Gilwell Reunion took place in Hong Kong in 1958. Messengers of Peace message was introduced, and shared the ideas and projects among ourselves. We first shared our views on the core values in Scouting and the the charactertistics on our youths nowadays. A good reflection for all of us that to recognize what we are doing in Scouting as Trainers. In supporting the "Earth Hour", we switched off the lights, and we lighted up the candles and passed to our neighbours, which symbolized to passed on our spirit and messages to each others. A video, "The World is Changing!" was shown, to let us have a reflection on how we could to have more concerns to our Earth, and better equip ourselves to protect our Home more! We sang a scouting song, "This is my little Scouting Light", to fire up our committments of being a Messenger of Peace and would share our messaages in our woodbadge trainings in the future!
