Hiking
Hiking can be an excellent activity for Scouts, not only from a physical fitness aspect but also to encourage them to develop the skills of planning, teamwork and leadership when preparing for and undertaking a hike. In line with above statememnt Merak Primary School Scout members went for hiking. The aim of the hiking is to: experience in cooperative groups living in the outdoors. use the natural surroundings to contribute significantly to physical, mental, spiritual, and social growth. have opportunities to acquire skills that make them more self-reliant. They can explore canoe and hiking trails and complete challenges they first thought were beyond their ability. Attributes of good character become part of them as they learn to cooperate to meet outdoor challenges.
Hiking was most enjoyable part in the scouting program.
