The Bharat Scouts and Guides,Udhampur, together with members of the Patanjali family, Celebrated the birthday of the Venerable Ayurveda Shiromani Acharya Shri Balakrishna as Herbs Day who is giving new directions to Ayurveda. Chief Guest of the program is Rajya Prabhari, Sh Bansi Lal. State in-charge Mr. Bansi Lal told that Acharya Balakrishna has done the work of advancing traditional Ayurveda system through Ayurveda center of Patanjali Yogpeeth. Acharya ji has also written several books related to Ayurvedic medicines.He along with Yog Guru Ramdev ji established Hostal in Haridwar. He is also associated with the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Acharya Sri has written the world's largest Encyclopaedia containing information on 50,000 medicinal plants. Scout master Amar Dev Singh said that Ayurvedic and medicinal plants were distributed house to house in Rathian Panchayat and plantation was also done at some places. Scout Master Rakesh Sharma told the villagers about benefits of these valuable medicinal plants.Scout master Ved Dubey administered the oath of Environmental Protection to all the villagers present there. The villagers praised the work being done by Volunteers of Bharat Scouts and Guides and promised to conserve the environment.
