"Healing Touch-Up"

In order to achieve the highest possible scout award - "President's Scout Award" as a young scout, I was motivated to implement a community service project at the Thalangama Divisional Hospital, Sri Lanka.

On 2024 6th of April, I organised a community service project in the Thalangama Divisional Hospital, Sri Lanka. The project was inlcluded; Taking out the beds and lockers out of the ward. Scraping off the uneven edges and surfaces of the beds and lockers. Painting the beds and lockers. Cleaning the ward. Rearranging the ward with beds and lockers.

Hosting a community service project taught me about communication, planning, and problem-solving. Planning and organisation were crucial for success, and I realised the need to be prepared and organised. I faced challenges but found creative solutions, improving my problem-solving skills. Overall, hosting the project boosted my confidence and provided valuable skills for the future.
