Every year one or more scout troops participates JOTA or JOTI or both. This year A Group from Erzurum City from east of Turkey participated to event. They learn about this opportunity and use of it on Disaster operations where any other  communication is not available. They also helped by scout volunteers from University in Erzurum .   The great help given by Amateurs Radio operators from Local Radio amateurs association. In Turkey scouts without a license may speak on amateur radio with the help of a radio amateur. There is waste opportunities during JOTA week end. It is important because only one person may speak on circuit and others wait. Waiting is not happy times so they organized games outside of the premises. We also have a book of 73 different activity to bre used on JOTA and JOYI event   For JOTA they speak with the over the border with Azerbaijan and two over the ocean countries Brazil and Puerto Rico. They are willing to make more activities on coming years   Guides and Scouts of  Erzurum are very active on Annual National Tribute to Thousands of Soldiers who fallen on the war with Russia on WWI. By a walk on the same part where an army get bad weather while moving to enemy lines.  Now the Scouting an Guiding Federation of Turkey have a campaign  to build a monumental unknown soldier cemetery for them. 1.
